Welcome to the Utah Fancy Guppy Associates! Our group of Guppy enthusiasts welcomes everyone with an interest in raising these fantastic fish.
About Our Club
We are a diverse community of guppy enthusiasts in Salt Lake City, welcoming everyone interested in Poecilia reticulata.As a proud member of the International Fancy Guppy Association (IFGA), we host one of its sanctioned shows annually. Learn more at ifga.org
While we don’t sell fish, we host auctions for great deals.
Membership Fees: $25 individual, $35 family, $10 junior. New members receive a trio of fish. Payments via cash, check, or Venmo.
Events
Our meetings are held 4-8 times a year and focus on, sharing knowledge, guppy care, auctions and preparing for the annual guppy show.Membership is optional, and everyone is welcome to attend or participate in our Facebook group.

We’d love to see you at our upcoming club meeting and fish auction. We’ll be holding our annual election of club officers, so this is a great chance to have a voice in the club. Anyone who has paid their 2026 dues is eligible to vote.
The fish auction will follow our usual rules. You must be a current, dues-paying member to sell, but anyone is welcome to buy. The auction will be a 50/50 split between the seller and the club.
We’ll have some light refreshments available, so come hang out and catch up with fellow hobbyists.
The meeting starts at 6:00 PM.

UFGA members will be opening their fish rooms for a tour: TBD, at least 2 will be available.
Meet in the hotel lobby, 7:00 PM Friday May 29th, 2026 to get maps and arrange rides. We will have a
sign-up list. We can only provide rides if you are on the list!RSVP
This year we ask that you let us know in advance if attending. We are doing so to help with planning for
the fish room tours, and we would like to print name tags. The name tags would need to be printed South Jordan, Utah 84095

A HOLIDAY-PLAN ACCORDINGLY! Walk-in show entries will be accepted no later than 2:00 PM on Saturday May 30th, 2026.
Sometimes shipping is hit and miss. We will do everything possible to get fish on the bench!
PLEASE SHIP early or EXPRESS
1. As a courtesy, please notify show chair(s) when you ship.
2. Use the carrier’s “no signature required” option if available.
3. Collect shipments will not be accepted.
4. Sufficient return fare must be included if fish are to be returned or fish will be auctioned.
5. All entry fees must be paid at the time of registration.
6. Shipped entries which are to be returned must include return postage fees and mailing label along
with bags for returning fish. Please provide enough bags for return shipment!
7. Breather bags may be used for shipping to and from show.
8. If breather bags are used, unused breather bags MUST be supplied for return of entry, otherwise fish
will be returned in standard bags as per IFGA rules.
9. Minimum bag size: 3” x 10”. PLEASE SEND ENOUGH BAGS FOR RETURN SHIPMENT!

It provides educational resources for hobbyists, accredits IFGA‑sanctioned clubs like UFGA, conducts judging seminars to qualify new IFGA judges, and publishes a monthly magazine for members. Since its inception, IFGA has standardized exhibition rules, training, and judging, hosting dozens of shows annually across North America with over seventy color and pattern classes . IFGA has recognized eighteen active clubs and awards annual points toward titles such as Master Breeder.
